New Paranormal Investigation! We use an Ouija Board to communicate with spirits at a creepy haunted cemetery!
Ghost Girl at Haunted Cemetery?
This week on Dead Explorer I decided to perform an impromptu paranormal investigation at the old cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. I was in town working on my new documentary “Haunted Lockdown” about the 1885 Gonzales County Jail when I was told a very interesting story by one of the members of the historical commission. She shared that one day she had visited the cemetery with her family and her granddaughter wandered off. When her granddaughter returned they asked her where she had been. She told her family she had been playing with a little girl who lives in the cemetery. To this day her family believes she played with a ghost girl.
Ouija Board Seance
Last month I visited OuijaCon in Baltimore, Maryland to learn more about spirit boards. It was a really interesting experience and I actually wrote an article about in my newsletter. As part of admission, each attendee was given a Ouija Board as a gift. I now keep it in my ghost hunting tool box and I thought this cemetery was the perfect place to test it out. Cemeteries can be challenging to investigate because they are so wide open and having one thing to focus on really helps. For a long time I was really skeptical (and superstitious) about spirits boards. However, my visit to OuijaCon and with medium Ellen Marron in Los Angeles has thought me a lot about the history of spirit boards and how they relate to other paranormal investigation tools. In a huge way, those two trips have taught me how to use a spirit board more effectively.
Was It Saying Goodbye?
One of the most interesting parts of the seance was that the planchette kept falling off the bottom of the board. At first I thought that perhaps a spirit was confused, but on the last attempt I realized that perhaps the spirits were trying to say goodbye. One thing I have learned is that if a board says goodbye, you stop the session. Imagine that someone kept pestering you after multiple requests from you to be left alone (I picture a tele-marketer for some reason). After a while, you might lash out in anger, right? Why would a spirit act different? Of course, for a little peace of mind, I also asked that no spirit attach itself to us, our equipment, or any of our belongings. Better be safe than sorry.
