Did paranormal investigators witness real ghost sightings at a creepy haunted mission?
In tonight’s episode of Dead Explorer we investigate the Mission Espada in San Antonio, Texas. We went there specifically because our friend and fellow paranormal investigator Roger said he saw an apparition out those very same grounds a couple years ago. To my surprise, I saw a white footless figure float really quickly between bushes right after I shot the intro. I am not exactly sure what I saw. I cannot say for certain if it was paranormal or a ghost. As far as I know, my eyes had played a trick on me. However, this is actually not the first time time that I have seen a footless figure in an outdoor location. A year ago I saw exactly the same type figure dart around and disappear behind some trees on a nature trail in Austin, TX.
Mission Espada is a beautiful place and part of the San Antonio Mission Trail. It’s most famous sister mission is the Alamo, the site of a historic battle in the Texas Revolutionary War (which led to the famous battle cry “Remember the Alamo!”). We found a part of the building that date back to the 1700s. Spaniards built the missions to convert the native americans that lived in the area. This of course not the first mission I have investigated. I investigated the Lomita Mission in Mission, TX in 2014 and had some very interesting experiences.
An Unexpected Visitor
OF course not all sightings in a paranormal investigation are ghosts! Jay noticed a dark shadow figure darting out of the woods. Said shadow figure turned out to be a racoon. Honestly, I was amazed that Jay even noticed the furry animal as I know I would have never seen it. Makes me wonder what else I have missed in my investigations… I do know one thing for sure. Anytime you investigate outdoors you risk audio and video contamination. Especially from animals. I have seen so many animals on an investigation I’ve almost lost track!
