Are the ghosts at the scary bridge Moore’s Bridge Crossing real? Watch the creepy footage from a true life paranormal investigation!
Moore’s Crossing Bridge is considered by many as one of the most haunted places in Austin, Texas. Witnesses say ghostly apparitions have been spotted on and around the bridge. Legend states that a white man was hung, by a mob, from one of the cross beams because of a forbidden love affair with a black woman.
Witnesses say after midnight you can see the man hanging from the crossbeam swaying in a slight breeze. Below, a shadow of a female figure is seen looking up in the direction of the swinging body. Many witnesses over the years have reported seeing people walking across the bridge dressed in out-of-date clothing. A couple, while crossing the old narrow bridge by car in the 80’s, speak of a man on foot waving to them as they pass him. They backed up to see the strangely dressed man but found that he had vanished.
Moore’s Crossing can be accessed through Richard Moya Park during day time hour of operation. You can access the bridge by a dirt back road at night. Just head east past the entrance of the park, take a right at the first light, and take a right onto the dirt road by the gas station that looks like it’s straight out of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Inviting, isn’t it?
Third Time is a Charm
This is actually the third time I have attempted to investigate Moore’s Bridge. One of the first paranormal investigation videos I shot was filmed there. This was before my Dead Explorer days and when you look back you can see how far I have come as an investigator and video maker. The second investigation was on a whim and I just wasn’t happy with the results. I was glad to go back a third time and perform a comprehensive investigation of the old bridge.
