Paranormal video! Scary activity was caught at a haunted bar that was used to be an 1800’s school house! Real footage of ghost investigation with spirit voices! Shot at the Moon River Bar and Grill in Spicewood, Texas. The Moon River was an 1800’s post office and school. In addition, there is a civil war cemetery right outside the bar! Staff reports pans and pots moving, shadow people, disembodied voices, and civil war sounds. Are there real haunted places and is this one of them?
In this video we captured multiple EVPs of spirits’ voices and whispers in the kitchen area. These experiences coincide with staff reports of paranormal activity. One worker heard the disembodied voice of a female ghost in the kitchen. In addition, staff has come to work in the morning to find that pots moved from shelves on to the kitchen floor. We placed pans on the floor to see if we could trigger spirit activity. Although we did not capture movement, it appears that EVP activity picked up after the experiment.
Investigating the Cemetery
A bartender heard military drumming from the cemetery next door. The cemetery is from the 1800s and is the final resting place of several confederate soldiers. It was a very unique experience to have both a haunted bar (former schoolhouse) and a cemetery to investigate on the same night.
Watch the 3 Part Series
This is part one of the three part “Haunted Moon River” video series.
- Watch Part One: “Creepy Moon River Really Haunted?”
- Watch Part Three: “Isolated Paranormal Investigations at Haunted Bar”
This was a special paranormal investigation for two reasons. First, this place was recommended to me by Autumn Thornburg, a former employee of the Moon River Bar and Grill and a Dead Explorer fan from Facebook. Second, I invited my friend Hilah from the web series “Hilah Cooking” as my special consultant on all things in the kitchen.
Unfortunately the owners of the Moon River Bar and Grill closed the restaurant a few months after I investigated. I had hopes that other paranormal investigation groups would visit this haunted restaurant so I could compare experiences. However, I was able to take Time Warner Cable News Austin to the Moon River before it closed to demonstrate real life ghost hunting.
