Watch as we perform isolated isolated ghost hunting sessions to catch paranormal activity at the haunted Moon River Bar! Our experience backs staff’s scary ghost stories and tales!
Haunted Moon River
The Moon River was an 1800’s post office and school. In addition, there is a civil war cemetery right outside the bar! Staff reports pans and pots moving, shadow people, disembodied voices, and civil war sounds.
Isolated Ghost Hunting Sessions
In the first two videos we captured multiple EVPs of spirits’ voices and whispers. In this video we conclude the investigation with two isolation sessions in two different locations. We all had an interesting personal experience in the office. I was able to smell a very strong cigar odor appear from nowhere. This distinct tobacco smell was unmistakable. I myself had a grandfather that would smoke tobacco pipes and I recognized the smell instantly. Even stranger, the tobacco smell disappeared as suddenly as it had arrived. On two other investigations I’ve encountered odors. Both times it was women’s perfume.
This was a special paranormal investigation for two reasons. First, this place was recommended to me by Autumn Thornburg, a former employee of the Moon River Bar and Grill and a Dead Explorer fan from Facebook. Second, I invited my friend Hilah from the web series “Hilah Cooking” as my special consultant on all things in the kitchen.
Watch the 3 Part Series
This is part one of the three part “Haunted Moon River” video series.
- Watch Part One: “Creepy Moon River Really Haunted?”
- Watch Part Two: “Scary Ghost Caught at Haunted Bar?”
Unfortunately the owners of the Moon River Bar and Grill closed the restaurant a few months after I investigated. I had hopes that other paranormal investigation groups would visit this haunted restaurant so I could compare experiences. However, I was able to take Time Warner Cable News Austin to the Moon River before it closed to demonstrate real life ghost hunting.
