A response to a big argument that is happening on one of my videos. I’m sharing this publicly for transparency. Bottom line, people need to respect each other.
I am messaging both of you at the same time. One of the things that has helped me on YouTube is that I always try to be respectful of others. So having two supporters argue against each other is tough for me, because I have no reason to pick sides. However, let me share my two cents in this case.
Obviously, the paranormal field is full of a wide range of investigators. Some are very skeptical, some are very eager to catch evidence. End of the day, there is no right or wrong method, because if there was, the search would be over and we would already have solid proof of ghosts. So all we can do is try to find proof that suits your personal criteria using a methodology that works for you (please yourself first because you can’t please everybody).
Great thing is the world (and YouTube) is big enough for everybody’s unique take on the paranormal. If one person’s style doesn’t match with your paranormal beliefs, you can move on and find some one who is more in line with you. I’ve done that in real life. When I’ve collaborated with another team who I didn’t match with (personality, attitude, methodology) I just moved on. It’s my choice to collaborate with other teams that match my style, but I still respect that it’s their choice to live and operate how they choose to. For most paranormal investigators, this is what we do after we have worked a 40 hour work week (most of us in jobs we don’t even like) and who I am to say what and how people choose to do with their hard earned free time.
One thing for sure, threats are not cool, and are a violation of YouTube policies. I urge the both of you to move on. You are not going to change each other’s personal beliefs about evidence. Those who believe in it will support her and those who don’t won’t change their mind. It just goes both ways.
