If you visit it, you will find that it looks exactly the same as when Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday frequented it’s gambling halls and brothels. Over 120 bullet holes throughout the Birdcage Theater remind you of how chaotic the wild west really was. The evening time paranormal tour is great a great attraction.
I got to perform an after hours (10PM-2AM) investigation March 2012 with Southern Arizona Ghost and Paranormal Society. Management is great and very accommodating to paranormal investigators. The theater has been featured in paranormal investigation shows Ghost Hunters in 2006, Ghost Adventures and Ghost Lab in 2009, and Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files in 2011. Tombstone as a whole is world known as a paranormal mecca.

Fun Fact: The basement poker room is said to be the site of the longest-running poker game in history. It was played continuously twenty-four hours a day for eight years, five months, and three days. When ground water began seeping into the mines in the late 1880s the town went bust, the Bird Cage Theater along with it. The poker game ended and the building was sealed up in 1889.
